Electrical Engineer (Building Services)

We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to be based within our Building Services team in our Sheffield office. The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for producing innovative and technically brilliant solutions to construction problems and will be developing the skills to lead projects in their own right. Successful Electrical Engineers will take pride in being able to consistently and efficiently produce high quality work and will inspire other members of their team to develop engineering skills and knowledge to do so also.

The responsibilities within this role include:
* Undertaking significant elements of the detailed design, including but not limited to: producing design calculations, sketches, specifications, reports and risk assessments.
* Undertaking analysis of project elements using suitable software packages
* Client liaison, ensuring that the project meets the clients’ objectives and requirements.
* With director support, acting as Project Manager on small to medium sized/risk projects and assist with the management of teams for a particular programme of work with a view to develop financial and project management skills.
* Producing deliverables in accordance with the allocated budget.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a background within building services having previously worked in a similar electrically biased role. You will be degree qualified (or can demonstrate experience to the level of bachelor’s degree level) and hoping to work towards chartership which Waldeck will fully support you with. You will have a sound understanding of AutoCAD and other similar design systems and be an excellent communicator, both written and verbally
