The esteemed firm is seeking a diligent Slitter Operator to join their dedicated team, with a generous remuneration of £13.00 per hour, reflective of experience and expertise.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the meticulous operation of slitting machines, tasked with transforming large rolls of material into smaller, specified rolls or sheets. This role demands a vigilant eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to quality, ensuring that each product adheres to stringent specifications.

Key responsibilities include the adept setup and running of slitting machinery, ensuring consistent output with minimal disruption. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining production efficiency, including the smooth transition of shift handovers and the readiness of materials and equipment aligned with the production timetable.

A conscientious attitude towards quality and safety is paramount. The role involves upholding the highest standards of product specifications and quality systems, fostering a secure working environment, and swiftly reporting any machine faults. Moreover, the incumbent will be responsible for adhering to environmental protocols concerning waste management and spillage prevention.

Collaboration is at the core of this role, with the expectation to assist fellow team members and contribute to a culture of shared knowledge and continuous improvement. The ability to utilise problem-solving techniques to turn challenges into learning opportunities is highly valued.

Candidates should possess a proven track record in machine operation within a similar environment, showcasing the ability to meet performance targets and adjust machine settings according to diverse material specifications. Experience in core cutting and a sound understanding of production processes will be advantageous.

Working hours offer a balanced schedule from Monday to Thursday, 06:00 - 16:00, rotating to Tuesday to Friday on alternate weeks, allowing for an extended weekend every other week. This role is a 12 week temp to permanent opportunity.
