Our client is a well known, high quality machining and metal fabrication business in South Yorkshire. Due to an ambitious expansion plan, they are now recruiting for a Fabricator/Fitter/Steel Erector to join ASAP.
A fabricator/fitter is required to join our busy installation team
Applicants should have general fabrication/fitter experience, including cutting, grinding and drilling. Welding experience is preferred, but not essential. The role is flexible and can be tailored around candidates with suitable experience.
Experience of heavy industry, including work at heights, confined spaces working, mobile platforms/access and following Safe Working Systems is preferred, although training will be provided where required.
The role is predominantly site-based at our site in Ossett, Wakefield. Our fabrication team build acoustic engine enclosures. Once fabricated the enclosures are moved outside in the yard where the engines & associated parts are installed. The engines are then dressed and the enclosures are fitted with louvres and various parts to completion.
Hours of work are 39/week, with regular overtime available. Rates of pay are competitive
