Nightshift Warehouse Team Manager

Over the past three years Pavers has grown almost 50% and as part of this expansion we are looking for a permanent full time Nightshift Warehouse Team Manager to join us at our Distribution Centre/Warehouse on Northminster Business Park in York, to help further drive this growth and support the running of a smooth operation.

In this role you will work 42 hours per week on a Monday to Thursday shift pattern 7pm to 6am.

The role of Nightshift Warehouse Team Manager

You’ll lead a team of 10-27 people along side and reporting into our Shift Manager. You’ll have line manager responsibilities for your team including, but not limited to; coaching and developing your team, inspiring your team to meet & beat their KPI’s/targets whilst keeping an eye on key operational goals, performance management and spotting opportunities for efficiencies, whilst always maintaining a safe working environment.

The warehouse is a key strategic player in our company, it’s a fast paced environment and there’ll be no problem getting your steps in as our Warehouse is over 100,000 sq feet! You’ll ensure our customers and stores get the right products in the right place at the right time!

As we expand as a business our Distribution Centre/Warehouse will continue to grow and this position offers a real opportunity for career development in the future.

About You:

You’ll need to be a team player with strong proven people management skills, who knows how to get the best out of people in a nurturing and positive way. Our people are very much the heart of the business, and you’ll need to be able to engage and drive performance, whilst coaching and developing your team.

Previous Warehouse Management/Supervisory experience
Have a continuous improvement mentality
Be used to meeting and exceeding operational targets
Strong communication skills with a ‘can do’ approach
Have a Welfare and Health and Safety focused attitude
