HSE Manager

HSE Manager – 12 month FTC – Construction/Data Centres – Finland – Up to £800 per day
HSE Manager required to join a large scale construction project. You will provide visible H&S leadership on site and with client, consultant and contractor’s teams on a high value Hyperscale Data centre construction project in Finland.
You can either be full time in Finland or based in country for 11 days and then return to the UK for 3 days. Flights and accommodation are provided as well as a hire car. In addition, you will be provided a 60 euros per day living allowance.
Role and Responsibilities
• Develop and implement HSE policies and programs
• Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
• Initiate and organise HSE training of employees and executives
• Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
• Identify relevant HSE Requirements and implement best practice compliance.
• Compile KPI’s to show improvements in HSE standards and productivity.
• Ensure all processes and equipment comply with standards required.
• Report to directors on accident stats, environmental incidents etc monthly.
• Ensure annual review of all risk assessments and ensure new risk assessments are carried out where necessary.
• Co-ordinate training programs related to HSE.
• Investigate workplace incidents, implementing preventative measures and best practice across the project.
• Ensure contractors have relevant HSE assessments.
• Provide expert advice and support on HSE matters to employees.
• Champion HSE best practices.
• Conducting regular data quality control checks across the range of tools / systems / reports.
Candidate
• NEBOSH Diploma in managing safety or equivalent degree level qualification.
• Experience working on Hyperscale construction projects
• Experience working on on Data Centre projects - Desirable
• Microsoft Office 365 Applications. Particularly Excel
• Effective coordination and communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Strong planning and prioritization skills
• Fluency in English
