PIB Risk Management are recruiting for a highly organised Graduate Health & Safety Consultant to join their hardworking team in Lincoln.

The Graduate Health and Safety/CDM Advisor is a key individual who will undertake CDM duties in line with the CDM 2105 regulations. 

The duties also encompass all other Health and Safety related duties in line with current Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and associated legislation.  

Responsibilities:

Carry out the duties and function of the Graduate Health and Safety Advisor and fulfil the role as defined in the CDM Regulations 2015.
Support other members of the technical team(s) as Graduate Health and Safety Advisor and/or carry out duties as requested by your Project Team Leader (Line Manager) or Director. 
Under supervision of the Project Team Leader, notify the Health & Safety Executive of the project if notification has not been previously given by the Client. 
Setting up projects for the technical team they support using in house applications.  
Maintenance and update of in house applications.
Where appropriate, and in your capacity as Graduate Health and Safety Advisor assist the safety consultant in the execution of their duties in so far as reviewing Health & Safety Policies and Risk Assessments and method statements, supporting the technical team in the compilation of the Health and Safety File for the project, or each structure comprised in the project, as required by the regulations, and manage systems and progress charts.
Undertake administrative tasks in accordance with the office procedures duties placed on the Graduate Health and Safety Advisor
Under supervision of the Project Team Leader/Safety Consultant/Risk Manager, produce guidance notes and assist in the preparation of Health and Safety Audits, Risk Assessments and Method Statements within the business activities, including third party clients, as and when instructed.
Respond to queries in line with your knowledge, and experience within the parameters of the knowledge of the project.
Accompany the Site Inspector or Senior PD/CDMA during site visits and support the production of Health Inspection and/or Monitoring Reports as directed, in accordance with current regulations. 
Assist the Business Manager and business support team with work in connection with marketing initiatives, answering PQQs & Tenders, audits, corporate accreditations and memberships, seminars and workshops as requested.
Skills and Qualifications Required:

New Graduate or Grad IOSH 
Health & safety related qualification(s) eg. NEBOSH Construction /General Certificate
Proven organisational and administrative business skills & competent MS Office skills
Some previous H&S experience would be beneficial in a similar role
Professional, confident communicator, both verbally and written
Positive team player committed to delivering high quality output

Maintain your ‘propriety’ at all times-this relates to good repute, honesty, integrity and financial soundness. This includes advising the firm of any changes in circumstances and conflicts of interest that could materially affect your fitness or propriety.
Have undertaken or are undertaking all relevant training. 
Compliance of Fitness & Propriety will be evidenced through PIB’s annual checks on Fitness & Propriety (e.g. financial soundness), through annual performance reviews and through completion of your Fitness & Propriety Declaration.
