Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking an intermediate or Assistant QS on behalf of our client, to join their rapidly growing team on a permanent basis within their offices located close to Derby.
The hiring organisation is a heavy civils self delivery contractor, operating within the marine and clean water sectors.
This organisation has a strong and long standing client base with a large forward looking order book.
The Role
The chosen candidate will be involved in a range if exciting and mid to large value projects. Some travel to sites may be required, so driving licence is required. This is a hybrid role, so you will only need to travel to the office 2-3 days per week.
* Working closely with the Project Managers, Engineers, and Directors to support them in fulfilling their responsibilities and contributing to the overall success of the business
* Monitor and control cost
* Identify, track, report, and price change
* Compile and submit monthly Application/Valuation to the client in line with contract requirements
* Set-up and manage subcontract accounts including payments
* Comprise monthly financial reports for projects working on
* Assisting in forecasting and budgeting of the works with project team
* Work with Director in compiling and reporting the regional financial position
Requirements
* BSc in Quantity Surveying, or similar related degree / qualification
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail
* Good communication skills
* Proficient in working in the Microsoft software suite (Excel, Outlook, Word etc.)
* Civil engineering contractor knowledge/experience
