About the Company:
Our client is a Mechanical Contractor based in Thurrock. Who specialise in design, installation and maintenance across the Commercial, Industrial and data centre sectors, where my client has built strong relationships with the industry’s leading names. My client is now seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join their team.
About the Role:
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Estimator, who will play a crucial role in our project management and bid development processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing all tenders and Take-off docs for Mechanical projects.
As a Mechanical Estimator, your role will include but not be limited to:
* Reviewing and analysing tender documents, and initiating Requests for Information (RFIs) with the client.
* Interpreting specifications, drawings, design briefs, and scope of works documents.
* Managing correspondence with the supply chain and addressing inquiries.
* Conducting take-offs as needed, adhering to standard estimating practices.
* Assessing tenders/offers from our supply chain to ensure inclusion of the most viable option in our submission.
* Conducting site surveys and participating in tender review meetings with clients.
* Ensuring timely submission of tenders.
* Participating in project handover to the operations team.
About the Benefits and Rewards:
* Up to £55,000 P/A (DOE)
* Pension scheme 3%
Candidate Requirements
* Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a mechanical estimator for a rival contractor.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction practices.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Experienced in the estimating software.
* Strong mathematical and IT skills
