We are currently looking to recruit a driven and experienced Sales, Operations and Planning Lead to join a leading International Manufacturing client based in NW Manchester. This provides an opportunity to join an extremely stable and expanding British manufacturer who are a household name in their industry.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background within Sales and Operational Planning within Engineering / Manufacturing based environments - ideally manufacture to order. Knowledge of Planning/ Inventory is key alongside Strong MRP and Excel skills. Experience working with SAP would be highly advantageous
The Successful candidate will work between the global sales offices and quoting teams, supply chain operations and engineering to understand the market and sales demand and requirements on the Manchester plant in order to develop the necessary operations and planning strategies to provide a quality service and timely delivery to our internal and external customers.
Hours - Monday - Thursday - 7AM - 3PM
Job Description
Operations
* Co-ordinate the different functions to produce the monthly reports for all products
* Develop a process map of the manufacturing process from quotation to cash for all value streams and identify opportunities for improvements and execution
* Partner with Product Management and Plant to ensure modifications and ‘engineer to order’ production are available in the global price list and published delivery matrices.
* Co-ordinate, design and implement an RDSL improvement programme by partnering with all plant functions to enhance the customer experience and enable to the sales offices to secure higher prices.
* Develop an RDSL investigations and actions process to ensure failure causes are identified and eradicated in the future. Ensure customers understand implemented changes which enhance the service to them.
* Co-ordinate, design and implement a lead-time reduction improvement programme by partnering with all plant functions to enhance the customer experience and enable to the sales offices to secure more business
Planning
* Work closely with Sales, Quoting, Project Management, Operations, Supply Chain and Product Management teams to optimize performance to customers and develop a process to achieve perfect execution and achievement of customer request date (80% plus).
* Partner with the sales order planning team to drive improvements in materials availability planning, date management and ensuring that all production lines have what they need when they need it.
Qualifications/Skills
* Demonstrable experience working within a similar role in Sales/ Operations Planning within manufacturing engineering
* Strong MRP Experience - ideally SAP
* Excellent IT Skills - Mainly Excel
* Knowledge of Power BI Would be advantageous
