HGV Mechanic

Mon – Friday Days + evey other Saturday
Salary £55,000 - £60,000
Due to continued growth and expansion, our well know and highly respected scaffolding client is currently seeking an experienced and qualified HGV Mechanic to join them on a full time, permanent basis to work alongside their existing Mechanic to service and maintain their fleet of HGV’s, from a range of manufactures; DAF, Mercedes, Iveco, Dennis.
The successful candidate will ideal have a HGV Class 2 license but is not essential.
In this role, the successful candidate will perform HGV repairs, running diagnostics as well as maintenance and service work. This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking HGV Mechanic to join well a well-established and growing company
HGV Mechanic responsibilities and duties
* Perform minor and major repairs on lorries and trailers
* Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service lorries, including inspection, tyre rotation and oil changes
* monitor parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
* Collaborate with colleague/s to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
* Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
* Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
HGV Mechanic qualifications and skills
* 3+ years’ experience as an HGV Mechanic
* Relevant Training/Qualifications: HGV Mechanics/Motors Mechanics/Plant Mechanics
* Physically fit and able to safely carry out (safe) heavy lifting
* HGV Class 2 license - Preferred
