Project Manager
Location: Bristol
Salary: £40k-£45k
Type: 37 hours per week - HYBRIDDovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Bristol.
Role Purpose
To lead planning, execution, and delivery of Estates capital projects. This role involves managing timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholders for successful project outcomes.
Main Duties
Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Ensure timely, in-scope, and on-budget delivery of all projects.
Coordinate internal resources, third-party suppliers, and contractors for the projects
Coordinate project activities, including task assignments, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
Apply critical path analysis to identify and minimise organisational risk.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, and staff ensuring transparency and alignment.
Manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Utilise verification techniques to handle changes in scope, schedule, and costs.
Lead project meetings, including kick-off meetings, status updates, and post-project reviews.
Identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
Ensure adherence to project management best practices and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Evaluate project performance against key metrics and KPIs, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
Relevant certifications e.g. PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2
Proven experience as a Project Manager
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Critical Path, Agile, Waterfall, Lean, Construction Work Breakdown Structure).
Experience of successfully delivering strategic projects to deadlines and budget.
Knowledge of contract documentation and tendering
Able to pass a DBS check with no previous convictions
