Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator for a permanent contract with our Cardiff based Construction client. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating project costs and preparing accurate costs and tenders for construction projects.
Duties:
- Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work
- Accurate measurement using CAD & manual measures
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and submit proposals to clients
- Monitor project progress and costs to ensure they align with estimates
- Conduct cost control activities throughout the project life-cycle
- Produce Estimating handover information for the construction team
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent numerical abilities and proficiency in using estimating software
- Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
