Position: Buyer

Location: Wellingborough

Hours - Mon - Friday (Standard Office Hours with lunchtime Friday Finish)

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business in Wellingborough.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to secure a Buyer to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Responsibilities:

Purchase from MRP & run daily stock reports.
Daily dealing with both internal and external suppliers.
Create purchase orders.
Liaise with supply chain to ensure on time delivery work with quality.
Monitoring and organising the replacement materials for any rejected items.
General administration duties.
Ensure price files are kept up to date.
Document Control.
Order office consumables.
Assist with other tasks within the purchasing department when required.
Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth running.
Invoice query resolution.

Experience Requirements:

Previous experience in a busy buying environment
PC literate with experience of using MS Office (Office, SAGE, MRP, CRM)
Excellent communication skills and a clear telephone manner are essential.
Team player and willing to assist colleague when required.
Possess good organisational skills and can prioritise effectively.
Excellent negotiating skills
Being self-motivated, proactive and dynamic
Be an analytical thinker
