This position is predominantly manual working as a Passive Fire protection installer with responsibility for supervision of a team on site and liaising with Clients’ site teams. Reporting to the Operations Manager and MD you will have responsibility for the management of specific contracts.
Our client is a Builders Work In Connection (BWIC) specialist on sites across London.
Main Responsibilities
* Read and interpret drawings and specifications to understand the scope of works
* Carry out surveys
* Overseeing and checking site work
* Organisation of the workload, labour, plant, and materials
* Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company policy, and procedures
* Assist with the tendering process
* Ensure installations are correctly installed and evidenced
* Carry out and record quality checks
* Lead teams of installation operatives
* Supervise productivity
* Communicate targets, costs, progress, and variations to management regularly
* Survey completed works for a built report
Ideal Candidate
* NVQ Level 2 Passive Fire Protection and or FIRAS accreditation
* Minimum 2-3 years experience in passive fire installations, ideally working for a main contractor on commercial and residential
* SMSTS
* IPAF/PASMA
* Good Health & Safety awareness
* Strong leadership and good communication skills
* Hold a full UK driving licence
