Whilst this role is a fixed term maternity cover position it can provide a secure minimum of 12 months and elevate your profile for the future. You'll deliver strategically focused customer marketing to drive sales through independent retailers and grow your reputation and experience.
Working as part of a large marketing function you will develop and implement marketing strategies that grow sales. You'll use data and insights to identify opportunities and then work with brand, digital and product teams to shape campaigns for your customer network. Experience within a manufacturing business selling through the retail channel and being customer (retailer) facing is critical for the role. You could have been in brand, customer marketing, trade marketing or similar - as long as you understand trade customer marketing and have a good commercial grasp.
About You:
Trade marketing, customer marketing, or brand management experience working with retailers to drive sales.
Commercially astute and able to think and deliver strategically.
Experience and understanding of retail campaigns across digital, POS, product promotions and more.
Strong with commercial data and able to interpret trends and reports to drive decisions.
Open to a fixed term 12 month contract opportunity.
Based North of Manchester close to Bolton, Blackburn, Bury, Preston, Burnley or similar areas.
What You'll Be Doing:
Developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive retail sales of branded products.
Speaking with customers to understand their requirements, challenges and opportunities.
Working with brand and digital teams to deliver product campaigns and promotions with independent retailers.
Analysing and interpreting sales data, market trends and forecasts and proposing recommendations.
Where You'll Be Based:
Being based in the office 3 times per week you'll need to be located in a commutable distance of the office. Nearby towns are North of Manchester such as Preston, Bury, Bolton, Blackburn and Burnley. There will also be occasional travel within the UK.
