IT Specialist - IT Security, Network Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Since the foundation, we are a strategic cooperation partner of well-known global biotech and pharmaceutical companies and are specialized in the development and production of vaccines. To strengthen our digital technology team at the Düsseldorf site, we are looking for a new talent (f/m/d) in full-time. The Infrastructure and Security Specialist (f/m/d) is part of the wider Digital Technology team and will work to ensure departmental goals, company objectives and KPI s are achieved via Teamwork. S/he will take part in the local and global IT Infrastructure and Security groups, with focus on network and security. MAJOR DUTIES OF POSITION: Create and maintain IT documentation Assist with all aspects of Network infrastructure lifecycle: purchasing, deployment, maintenance, and retirement Apply company policy and industry best practices to manage and maintain the sites network infrastructure Support projects and site activities related to networked and networked devices (expansion, modification, decommissioning) Monitor network health and status and implement continual improvement and fault finding Implement planned and emergency network infrastructure updates to maintain system operation and security Identify, plan and undertake patching for infrastructure components Identify security risks within network or networked systems, escalate where required, and implement solutions Respond to security incidents and security risks identified from in place monitoring processes Maintain networked systems in secure status working with system owners, vendors and end users Technical education / studies in IT or demonstratable equivalent experience Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in IT or related field (network / security) Experience of working in a regulated environment is essential, preferably experience in the pharmaceutical industry Detailed understanding of networking concepts, and ability to configure and fault find networks and networked systems. Experience in application of security principles to protect IT networks.
