Sustainability Engineering Manager

This growing energy and project management consultancy provide a range of services to corporate clients, utilities service providers, real estate owners , commercial property agents, local authorities and large land owners. Their services help real estate owners & developers to decarbonise their buildings.

The organisations Sustainable Engineering team provides a range of services, including Feasibility studies, Modelling, Surveying, Design Management, Project Management & Engineering Consultancy.

As a result of a significant growth in demand for the company’s services they are looking to recruit a Sustainability Manager to lead & grow a Sustainable Engineering Team, leading on a diverse range of decarbonisation projects.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be based out of an office in Euston and on client sites.

Although you would be managing a team, this is also a hands-on Engineering role.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

* Lead a team of Sustainable Engineering Consultants

* Liaise with client stakeholders to develop bespoke decarbonisation solutions.

* Develop client proposals in partnership with the Commercial leadership team.

* Develop project, resource & budget plans with the PMO team.

* Prioritise projects & resources to ensure the achievement of project deadlines.

* Work with the Engineering Director to develop client specific decarbonisation solutions.

* Undertake the detailed Surveying of buildings to identify energy efficiency opportunities.

* Prepare energy audit/review reports/ and recommendations.

* Perform building analysis using simulation software.

* Develop M&E Services designs to achieve decarbonisation objectives

* Create de-carbonisation plans for existing buildings.

* Prepare GHG emissions reports.

* Create financial models for building services decarbonisation projects.

* Oversee building services decarbonisation projects with PMO team.

* Deliver ESOS assessments ( Training provided).

* Conduct Non-Domestic EPC’s up to Level 5 – (Training Provided).

A varied role the company require a candidate who can demonstrate versatility and creativity to help manage the decarbonisation of buildings.

The role will be challenging and rewarding, and the successful candidate will be given exposure to all areas of Net Zero planning in real estate.

The successful candidate will have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or similar.

They will be able to demonstrate experience of working with clients to decarbonise their real estate.

They will also be able to demonstrate experience of managing and coordinating a team.

In return the candidate will benefit from a basic salary ranging from £75k-£95k (DOE) basic plus 25 Days Annual Leave and Pension. They will also benefit from ongoing training and development, combined with the opportunity to progress in line with company growth
