Connex Education are working with a Catholic Primary School in Oldham, who are hoping to welcome an enthusiastic PPA Cover Teacher, to join their warm school community.

This is a smaller-than-average sized, one-form entry school in Oldham. The school were graded as an 'Outstanding' school following their most recent Ofsted inspection in June 2023. As a Catholic School, they believe nurturing the spiritual, personal, moral, and cultural development of their children is fundamental to all that they do. They are renowned in the community for being a nurturing, friendly, and supportive school.

Assignment Details

You will be required to teach in all classes from Reception to Year 6, covering for class teachers during their PPA time. This is a full-time role which is due to start at the beginning of the next academic year in September 2024. This will be an ongoing placement, with the opportunity for this to become permanent for the right person. As you will be working across the school, an adaptable teaching style and ability to form strong, professional relationships with staff anf students alike is essential to this role. This would be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to advance their career in a supportive new setting, or for an ECT to develop alongside a successful and supportive team of staff.

Person Specification

Experience working with primary aged children
QTS in the UK
Positive approach to behaviour management and confidence building
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Flexible approach
Effective positive behaviour management skills
Have a current DBS on the update service or willing to provide a new one
