Location: Lambeth, London
Hours: Full time 8:30-3:30
Summer term 2 until end of academic year.
Our partner school is committed to ensuring every student receives the support they need to reach their full potential. As a 1-to-1 Teaching Assistant, you will have the invaluable opportunity to work closely with a student who has behavioural issues, providing dedicated support and guidance to help them succeed academically and beyond and create routine for them.
The school is a a diverse, 2-form entry school that has on street parking.
What you'll do:
Work closely with a specific student, providing personalised support tailored to their learning needs.
Assist with academic tasks, including homework, assignments, and skill development.
Implement individualised learning plans and strategies to support the student's progress.
Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to promote confidence and motivation.
Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support for the student.What we're looking for:
Passion for supporting students on a one-to-one basis and helping them overcome challenges.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to meeting individual learning needs.
Ability to adapt teaching methods and strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
Previous experience or qualifications in education, special education, or related fields is desirable but not essential.
