40 Hours Per Week

Shift Details: Tuesday - Saturday 8:00am - 4:30 pm

Tamworth

As the new Facilities Maintenance Assistant, you will be supporting with the general maintenance and upkeep of the Tamworth Depot based within Tamworth. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing any faults that may occur across the site. You will also be completing preventative maintenance tasks, as well as supporting with any improvement projects relating to the building and facilities.  

Once the required skills / knowledge sets have been achieved you will be required to provide 24hr through call out, extra payments will be paid for these weeks.

We require a Facilities Maintenance Assistant who will be getting involved in the following duties:

Providing general building maintenance support.

Completing preventative maintenance tasks.

Conducting facilities checks and inspections.

Supporting with building and facilities improvement projects.

Keeping maintenance documentation up to date

Carrying out compliance checks / inspections.

Arranging contractors and preparing contractor documentation.

Raising permits for contractors.

Responsible for the control of legionella on the plant and domestic water systems.

To join us as a Facilities Operative you must have Level 2 qualification in relevant discipline (i.e trades) or significant experience in a similar role along with experience within a facilities/ building maintenance role.  You'll have knowledge of plumbing, Carpentry and other general building maintenance trades.  It is essential that you hold a driving license.

As the successful candidate you'll receive all the training necessary to fulfil the role and enhance key skills through our learning and development programmes but would be suited to someone from the following foundation background: Facilities Assistant / Building Technician / Facilities Maintenance Technician / Facilities Engineer / Facilities Maintenance Engineer.
