Financial Accountant

CMA Recruitment Group are working with an established organisation in Southampton, Hampshire to recruit a proficient Financial Accountant to strengthen their team on a full-time basis.  This role supports various entities, overseeing financial reporting and assisting with technical accounting projects.  You'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders and administrative support to make recommendations, uphold financial integrity, completeness, and accuracy.  This role benefits from hybrid and flexible work options.
What will the Financial Accountant role involve?

Prepare and assist with weekly, monthly, and quarterly facility reports, and statutory reporting requirements.
Contribute to external and internal audit work streams, including year-end processes, year-end journals, and audit deliverables.
Support technical accounting projects by investigating accounting treatment options, providing recommendations, and implementing necessary process or reporting changes.
Assist with management reporting, analytics, and ad hoc activities as requested.
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:

Qualified finance professional (ACCA/ACA/CIMA), this includes accountants looking to make their first move into industry from practice.
Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues, external partners, auditors, and advisers, providing technical recommendations and assisting with process or reporting changes.
Keen to develop and grow, with strong attention to detail and the ability to think strategically.
