Overview:

Our leading medical client is seeking a Porter to work within the Supply Chain and Logistics Team in the Canterbury site on a full time basis. Working within the successful logistics and supply chain team, you will play a key role in supporting stock and supply management to the unit to ensure consistent supply. The role will involve receiving good from suppliers, logging stock and stock management in attention to helping to distribute the supplies around the local site

Overtime available at double pay on bank holidays
6 month contract with the opportunity to move to permanent after probation

Duties include:

Receiving stock from suppliers and logging on the internal systems
Managing supplies with specific needs e.g. temperature controlled
Processing paperwork for new supply orders
Raising queries with suppliers for any incorrect supplies
Distributing supplies around the local site using specialised equipment where needed (training provided)
Manage supplies and distribution in line with company policy and procedure (training provided)
Experience needed:

Good customer service skills
Ability to manage own workload
Good level of basic IT skills
Experience of working within a similar environment e.g. goods-in, distribution centre, porter, facilities management
Experience of manual handling
Immediate to start or short notice
Ability to travel to Cantubury
DBS check / or willing to have one conducted (cost covered)
