Our client is a leading provider in the food industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality produce and building strong customer relationships. Due to the business going through a period of rapid growth, they are looking to take on a Shift Manager in the Distribution department. They are committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in all aspects of our business.

As a shift manager, you will play a pivotal role in controlling and directing the activities in the distribution centre. You will be a strong leader and able to motivate and guide the team in order to ensure the smooth running of the department whilst also implementing continuous improvement methods.

Requirements.

Experience within a distribution environment, supplying to retail businesses.
People management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Able to operate a PPT and forklift in line with RTITB standards.
Knowledge of legal requirements in regards to warehouse operations.

Responsibilities.

Lead and manage staff, including scheduling and training.
Oversee the flow of goods, ensuring accurate inventory and efficient operations.
Enforce health, safety, and compliance regulations.
Liaise with departments, suppliers, and transport companies.
Address and resolve operational issues promptly.
Maintain records, prepare reports, and manage budgets.
