Position Overview: 
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeping Specialist to join our finance team. The Bookkeeping Specialist will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of bookkeeping operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payments, and collections
Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and improve processes
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and best practices
Provide support and training to junior staff members as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA designation preferred
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
High level of integrity and professionalism
